 This
ministry team augments the
pastor's congregational care by keeping in contact
with members who are ill, hospitalized, in nursing or assisted
living facilities, or homebound - - with in-person visits,
phone calls, and cards. They also send birthday and
anniversary cards to congregation
members.
They maintain a list of of those who provide transportation for
members unable to drive to medical and other necessay
appointments.
Hand-knitted or
crocheted prayer shawls are given to
members who are ill or in the hospital after
prayers are said over them by the
pastor.
For
those in need of urgent and immediate prayer, the caring ministry team
oversees
the telephone prayer chain. Special attention is also given to
prayer requests placed in the sanctuary prayer
bowl.
